Vegan burgers? For most people, that probably still sounds unusual. Yet these burger patties are a delicious and healthy alternative to standard ones.

Vegan burgers with potato wedges
Preparation: Vegan Burgers with Potato Wedges
Prep time: 10 min., Cooking time: 20 min., Difficulty: medium; Type: main course; high-protein

Peel, wash, and cut the potatoes into thin wedges or slices. Season with salt and pepper and mix with a tablespoon of olive oil.

Spread on a baking sheet and bake in the oven at 200°C top/bottom heat for approx. 30 minutes.

In the meantime, prepare the burger patties:

Rinse the kidney beans thoroughly and mash them well in a bowl using a fork.

Add the BBQ sauce, soy sauce, rolled oats, salt, pepper, and approx. 2 tbsp water, then mix well.

Shape the burger patty with your hands and let it rest for 10 minutes.

Fry in a pan with a little oil on both sides.

Top the burger as desired: Make sure to use vegan burger buns, vegan sauces, and vegan cheese here as well. Otherwise, you can put anything you like on your burger!
