Boxing World Champion Manuel Charr visited the fitness equipment manufacturer AsVIVA in Dormagen in June. To prepare for his title defense in September, the world champion wanted to test fitness equipment. “We are delighted to support an exceptional athlete like Manuel Charr,” says AsVIVA Managing Director Thorsten Weyers. After his meniscus surgery, Manuel Charr also kept the health aspect in mind for his recovery training and aimed for a fitness machine for his conditioning and movement training. Since 2005, Manuel Charr (33) has been a professional boxer and fought against Vitali Klitschko for the WBC World Championship title as early as 2012. Charr won his current WBA heavyweight title in November 2017 by defeating Russian Alexander Ustinov. The 33-year-old boxing world champion living in Cologne will defend this world championship title on September 29 in Cologne's Lanxess Arena against Fres Oquendo (45), after the originally planned fight date against the Puerto Rican in Chicago was rescheduled due to a lack of hosting rights. Now the fight will take place in Germany.
