The 2020 home fitness season kicks off at AsVIVA with many new products and a summary. “This year has certainly been the most extraordinary in AsVIVA's history so far,” says Thorsten Weyers, Managing Director of As-STORES GmbH. “The situation caused by COVID-19 has really challenged our employees, national and international logistics, and our customers.”
The trend toward fitness within one's own four walls, which has risen steadily over the last five years, reached a new peak due to the pandemic. “We know how important flexible compensatory movement in everyday life is, especially during times of working from home,” says Weyers. “We have prepared well for the upcoming fitness season in order to meet our customers' demands and expectations.” However, this is not always that simple in times of partially restricted supply chains. Due to limited capacities and high workload in the production facilities, production times for individual fitness equipment are being extended.
“For this reason, we have expanded our range well and can present great innovations in fall/winter 2020,” says the fitness equipment manufacturer. Among them are three new treadmill and exercise bike models in various price categories, two cross trainers, a high-end Speedbike, a king-size vibration plate, and for the first time a water rowing machine. In the E-Bike segment, there is also a long-awaited upgrade of the foldable B13 city runabout. “There should be the right machine for everyone to train with,” says Weyers happily. Nevertheless, the fitness pro also advises healthy calculation when buying fitness equipment. “Currently, an eye should always be kept on the availability date to avoid disappointment when purchasing.”
